Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity (FNHC) has announced that it is to host a special Gala Concert, taking place on Saturday, 7th June at RAF Halton, as part of the ongoing twenty-fifth anniversary celebrations of the Hospice.
The concert will be held in St George's Church and will be an evening devoted to choral music. The Charity is delighted to have secured as headline act The Dunvant Male Choir, who enjoy the distinction of being one of the oldest continuous serving choirs in Wales. There will also be some very special performances from the Halton Military Wives Choir, as well as an appearance by local musician and guest soloist Scarlet O'Shea.
The Gala Concert is part of a series of one-off anniversary celebrations being held in addition to the usual fundraising calendar of events during the Silver Jubilee year of the Florence Nightingale Hospice, which officially opened its doors in November 1989 following a public campaign to raise half a million pounds.
Ruth Mayhew, Events Fundraiser at FNHC, said: "We're thrilled to have some absolutely superb acts performing at this summer's Gala Concert at RAF Halton, and are extremely grateful that they have agreed to support the Florence Nightingale Hospice in our Silver Jubilee year."
The evening is sure to be a memorable one, with both setting and artists certain to delight guests. Doors for the event open at 6.30pm, with performances starting from 7.30pm, with programmes and refreshments available on the night.
Tickets cost just 12.50, and are available from the Fundraising Office by calling 01296 429975 or please book through Ruth via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity needs to raise over £600,000 this year to secure continued funding for the Florence Nightingale Hospice, which provides first-class specialist palliative care for local families affected by life-limiting illness across Bucks, Beds and parts of Oxfordshire.
